This move changes the situation as Somalia Tanzania relation has been tense and complex during the reign of President Mohamed Siyad Bare who ruled Somalia for the longest time ever in the History of the nation of Somalia. This complex and tense relation in the past has been coursed by President Siyad Bare’s support Uganda when Uganda and Tanzania fought a bloody war during Idi Amin dada. Nevertheless this new relationship is expected to correct past mistakes as it brings the two nations closer to one another. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud vowed to establish a good relationship with almost every country in the world, even though that mission has not been successful, yet there is some progress in some areas specially the foreign policy department of the nation.
