Chinese communist doctors have been integral to Chinese healthcare system and have contributed significantly to both traditional and modern medicine programs in the country. Chinese medical colleges and universities have been working very hard to improve the country’s medical healthcare facilities.
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), which includes practices like acupuncture, herbal medicine, and tai chi, remains a prominent part of Chinese healthcare alongside Western medicine, which Chinese doctors spread to the global market for business and support to the global ill people.
Chinese doctors often undergo rigorous training during their educational courses. As Chinese Government is in competition with the other global healthcare systems, Chinese government has been working hard on research and medicine development. During covid 19 virus, Chinese government has done thousands of medical researches for future medical innovations.
Many of the university graduates pursue specialties in various medical fields, such as surgery, cardiology, oncology, orthopaedic, opt homology and more, after finishing their medical degrees courses, China’s healthcare system has evolved over the years, with improvements in medical technology, research, and facilities.
Other the past ten years, Chinese doctors have also played a crucial role in global healthcare systems by participating in international medical collaborations and responding to global health crises with innovation and expertise which helped in solving of various healthcare challenges.
Today, more than 40 Chinese doctors are in Addis Ababa, performing various medical procedures to help Ethiopian patients suffering from various illnesses including heart and cardiac problems.
Ethiopian Federal Government president Taye Atsike Selassie thanked the Chinese volunteer doctors and the Chinese government for the free service and support they offered to the Africans. These Group of doctors will be performing various medical procedures including In the program children’s heart surgery, cataract, eye treatment, uterus surgery and other medical services are provided.
In addition, eye and heart tests will be given in one public and one private school, and cervical cancer will be screened for women above the age of eighteen years old. Most of the African countries has been working on other developments like roads, technology and infrastructure but forgot about medical research and medicine innovations over the past decade.
These group of Chinese volunteer doctors have reminded African nations to put more focus on medical and doctors welfare to help in life improvement of the African people.
Many African patients still depend on Asian doctors for treatment, as many patients travel abroad for treatment every year and spend thousands of US dollars. Supporting local hospitals and doctors will help in innovation, reduce the number patients traveling abroad for treatments and hence grow the capacity of our local medical facilities and doctors.
